I have found some old documents dating back to 1835 (earliest record)of a hoard of Bumpus folks from Maine. I have traced the lineage back to Edourd Bumpus. some individuals in the documents are Martin Kinsley Bumpus (b1827), Samuel Augustus Bumpus, Azel Bumpus, Daniel Bumpus, Samuel Sturtevant, Josiah Sturtevant, Horatio G. Lebaron just to name a few. Most were born in Androscoggin or Oxford county. I have traced Martin Bumpus's son Raleigh (b1861),his sons Harold (b1902) and Amos (b1898) but thats where I hit a Brick Wall. Wanting to find out sons of either of these 2 in order to possible notify them or their descendents of the documents I have. Any help out there? thanks

Just found your post and wondering if you have had any luck?
I am a direct descendant of Martin Kinsley Bumpus through his daughter Hester Ann (sister to Raleigh).
Neither Harold nor Amos had sons. There are daughters listed.
I am very interested in your documents as I am tracing the Bumpus lineage.
To be more specific, I am desperately trying to find out the parents of Morris who died in 1837. He was one of the first to settle that area after his service in the War of The Revolution.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Craig
